An added bonus of FUTRELIGHT is its eco-friendly credentials. Recycled materials go into the product, the waterproof coating comes from PFC-free chemicals while the factory is solar powered. The North Face is named after the coldest, most unforgiving side of a mountain. But it was actually founded in 1966 at an altitude of 150 feet above sea level, on a beach in San Francisco’s North Beach area. Their mission is to provide the best gear, support the preservation of the outdoors and inspire exploration. Judging from this year’s collection, which matches style and rugged protection, they’re still very much on track.

The industry-leading, award-winning lightweight insulated jacket we have all grown to love, manufactured using 100% recycled polyester for the first time ever. The new ThermoBall Eco Jacket from The North Face is a synthetic down-alternative insulating jacket that performs equivalently to 600 fill-power traditional down, while also offering higher insulation performance when wet than it's traditional counter-part.
Featuring the same performance, construction, weight, packability and importantly price as the previous ThermoBall jackets with one key difference; it's now made from recycled polyester fabric and recycled insulation. Just the insulation alone, sourced in partnership with Primaloft, is spun using at least five plastic bottles diverted from landfill in each jacket. All of this is without compromising any element of performance whatsoever.
The Thermoball Eco Jacket from The North Face is an industry staple with little question as to why, it's never been easier to stay warm this winter while looking so good while reducing the environmental footprint in the process.
