General
The Montane Alpine 850 Down Jacket is a highly insulative and protective down jacket aimed at high altitde mountaineering. 350g of 850+ fill power RDS down is extremely high loft and aims to provide the maximum amount of warmth for the weight to reduce burden and is contained within box wall chambers for maxium thermal efficiency. Cutting edge Diamond Lite is a lightweight 20 Denier nylon fabric with ‘liquid crystal’ yarns woven into the face, making it extremely resistant to abrasion and tearing, a common flaw of the down jacket, and with a DWR will resist moisture and snow. An adjustable hem and interior elasticated cuffs create a snug seal against drafts whilst the classic mountain fit ensure the Alpine 850 will fit over any amount of layers. A YKK Aquaguard Vislon front zip resists snagging with a tight seal, as do the insulated hand pockets which have a microfleece lining.
